Each year the Virginia State Reading Association (VSRA) selects several books at the Primary, Elementary, Middle School, and High School levels as part of their Virginia Young Readers program. During the school year students read the books listed for their levels and early in the Spring vote for their favorite book. These votes from across the state are tabulated to identify the top books in each category. Here is a list of the past winners.
Henderson students participate in this program each year. Reading Specialist Gina Cory conducts the program.
